Your guide will pick you up in a comfortable, climate-controlled van, providing narration about the rich history of the Verde Valley as you travel through historic Cottonwood, once known as the “Bootleg Capital of Arizona.” Moving through historic Clarkdale, built by Senator Clark, owner of the largest copper mine in Jerome, you’ll learn about its designation as one of the first company towns in the United States. The journey then ascends 1800 feet up Mingus Mountain into Jerome, offering panoramic vistas.
